Guess whos back!! (This post has a BIT to do with zombies...sorry)

Thats right, its me. everyone's favorite zombie philosopher. As I was talking about the past few posts, a few friends and I started a blog together. there, you can see four people's posts. But enough advertising. Let's talk about the economy. And of course, zombies. When the apocalypse begins and the dead walk the earth, the few remaining survivors will be just that; survivors. In the post-apocalyptic world, there will be no need for computers, or fast food, or any of the boring, mundane jobs that we all hate. Which makes me wonder... our fore fathers had to hunt for their food, that was a big part in the making of the constitution and the bill of rights; specifically the 2nd amendment. This country was built on not only the right to bear arms, but also the right to use those arms to hunt for food to feed your family. Since we were founded on this principle, it only makes sense that we should continue to hunt for our food. But now days, it costs about 500$ to hunt deer by the time you pay all the fees associated with hunting. Which makes no sense; why isn't it possible to buy the license and tags at a cheaper price? the reason behind this is if I had a family that was starving and there was nothing i could do, I can't provide for them at all; the best I could give them would be a soup kitchen. If I know how to hunt, and could hunt a deer for a reasonable 25-50$, I would buy the tags and shoot a damn deer. and because a good deer can feed a family for a month, I would have more money to stimulate the economy. Atleast this way, when Z-Day comes, more people would be ready to survive and provide for others.
If you don't comment and lemme know what you think, I will come to your house and eat all your cereal and left overs...so you better comment.

Moaning

The language barrier. I don't mean the one between most Americans and another person from a different country. I'm talking about the one between people. Even if they speak the same language. In all languages, words are Polysemic, which means that the word ball has several meanings. Understanding what people are talking about (even when they speak the same language) is "the language game".Zombies don't have that problem, each moan is subtly different, telling others different things, like "food here" or "hungry" though there's not many words in their vocabulary, and a young Wittgenstein already tried several years ago, I believe that it's possible to write a language where all the words mean one thing. The negative side is there would be thousands of new words to learn. What do you guys think? Is it possible, or even worth it? Comment, lemme know.

Diet

As we all know, zombies are obsessed with brains. Weather they are a product of Romero's, or a newer producer trying to make a name for themselves, there's no denying that zombies hunger for brains. One has to wonder, however, if it's all a metaphor for how mankind should act. In a recent survey, it was found that American education was falling drastically. "...ranked the United States 14th out of 34 OECD countries for reading skills, 17th for science and a below-average 25th for mathematics."  So should we be more like the zombie hoards? Scrambling, trying desperately to get more "brains"? I think it's very important that not only as Americans, but as the Human race, we all need to act more like the zombie hoards when it comes to knowledge. Please remember: cannibalism is looked down upon.
Please comment, tell me what you think.

Zombies. Zombies Everywhere

We all have fantasized about Z-Day at least once in our lives. We don't know why, but there is something appealing about being one of the last people on Earth and having to repopulate humanity while getting attacked by hoards of zombies. "Dude, I'm ready. I know exactly what to do when zombies come." But yet are we ever really ready for anything? How many times have we woken up late for school or work? If that happens when the zombies break out of their hollding cells in the White House, you might as well have a knife and fork by your bedside with a sign that says "BUFFET LINE STARTS HERE. As human beings, we cannot be ready for most things that happen each day, like the truck breaking down, flat tire, or driving 30 minutes to school only to find out your class is canceled, let alone the zombie outbreak.
If you ARE ready for the Zombie Apocalypse, and have a plan, let me know by commenting, or if you just want to let me know how amazingly awesome this post was, comment. I promise I'll read some....

What if the zombie apocalypse happened today? Who would you be, What weapons would you use, and would you survive? comment and lemme know

Walking Dead

So I have been watching AMC's the walking dead. If you do not know what that is, it's a TV series about a group of survivors trying to live through the Zombie apocalypse. In it, one of the main characters' son gets shot by a stranger, who then proceeds to help him. however, the son gets extremely close to death and they debate whether or not to let him slip into the next life. one of the arguments used is "what does he really have to live for?" Which made me think, what do any of us have to live for? We each need to find that one thing that gives us the courage to keep moving through this life filled with pain. Without the proper motivation, we waste our lives either trying to chase down all the money we can, or ditching our families for that promotion that is just out of reach. we all need to reevaluate our priorities. for me, I always try to put either God or Family first. Followed by school and work. Remember, you never see a U-Haul behind a hearse.
Once again, comment, tell me what you think.

The unexamined life

Socrates once said that the unexamined life is not worth living. how many of us actually stop to examine our lives? You would be hard-pressed to find somebody who "stops and smells the roses", let alone someone who picks the rose, examines it, and actually enjoys the little break from this hectic life. though "structured" society would not permit it, one of my dreams is to actually own my own land, without having to pay taxes to a government that took it over illegally in the first place, and just living off the land with a family. instead, this society we live in forces us to live life fast and die young. the biggest reason fast food companies are doing so well; despite the fact that they are the equivalent of eating a tub of lard in between fried buns, is because of the limited time most people have because of this extremely fast-paced society. as a society, we all need to slow down and examine our lives; what makes us truly happy (don't even think the answer is money), what makes us feel whole, and as a result of this examination, we can stop trying to fill the hole in all of us with cash.
Lemme know what you think, post comments, and I promise I'll read them.
